Manchester United has not been shy about acquiring players from other Premier League clubs. This has already been done by Jack Grealish, Matheus Nunes, Mateo Kovacic, and others.

However, a former City manager has identified a Premier League player who he believes would fit in nicely with Pep Guardiola’s squad.

Pearce believes Olise would thrive at City.
When asked if Olise could play for a top team for the first time, Pearce replied on talkSPORT.

“I’ve seen him a few times recently, so the answer is yes,” he went on to say. City of Man, not Manchester United.

The 22-year-old is thought to have spent a year in the City school system before transferring to Reading. He then joined Palace for a reported £8 million in 2021.

Since then, the Frenchman has appeared in 80 games across all competitions, scoring 11 goals and assisting on 20 others.

Olise has only appeared in nine Premier League games this season, but he has five goals and the second-most important passes (20) and shot-creating actions (5.85) per 90 minutes.

While City has scored more goals than any other Premier League club this season, it’s simple to see how the Palace star could fit in with Guardiola’s squad.

In April, Eagles manager Roy Hodgson described Olise as a “wonderful” talent who will have a successful future. We believe that if he moves to City in the future, that will be the case.
