VERY SAD Erling Haaland News has been announced this Afternoon by Pep Guardiola and Manchester city teams
Manchester City’s Erling Haaland is still out as Pep Guardiola prepares his team to face Newcastle.
City have the chance to close the gap on leaders Liverpool to two points if they win at St James Park. They will, however, be without their star No.9 once more, as his absence now extends to a ninth game.
Guardiola will also be missing John Stones and will have to hope that Jack Grealish recovers from a sickness that has disturbed his week. “Hopefully today he’s back,” he went on to say, “[but] Erling is out and John are out.”
Kevin De Bruyne returned to first-team action for City with an assist in the FA Cup win over Huddersfield. The Belgian stated after the game that he does not expect to start any games anytime soon, despite Guardiola insisting that he is ready after being pleasantly impressed by Huddersfield’s performance.
“What I saw yesterday he looks really good and dynamic,” the man stated. “The minutes he played were really good, better than the training session before the Huddersfield game when he was still figuring out who he is.”
“It’s normal to have highs and lows in training after five months of injury.” He is progressing. We have a game, then four or five training sessions in Abu Dhabi, which will help us improve in the coming months.”
