Manchester United Legend And FLOP Manager Wayne Rooney has been tipped to get shock Premier League job
Despite his recent dismissal from Birmingham City, Dimitar Berbatov believes his former teammate may one day be hired by Manchester United.
Wayne Rooney took over as manager of the Championship team in October after previously coaching DC United in the MLS.
Birmingham City were sixth in the Championship when the Englishman took command, but within just two months, they had slid all the way to twentieth.
The club then chose to fire Rooney earlier this week, but former teammate Berbatov told Betfair that he believes Rooney will one day lead United.
“Birmingham are near the bottom of the table and they have big ambitions, so it’s led to the decision to sack Wazza.” He stated.
“It’s a shame. I sympathise with him because I know he wants to be a manager, and one day he might be the manager of Manchester United – I still believe that.”
