Harry Kane is returning to the Premier League and joining shock club after announcing his departure from Bayern Munich!
Daniel Levy, the chairman of Tottenham Hotspur, disclosed that he was able to get a buy-back clause when Harry Kane was sold to Bayern Munich this summer.
After 19 years at Spurs, Kane parted ways with the club to join the German champions in a deal estimated to be worth close to £100 million.
Though Levy has since disclosed that his team has a clause allowing them to re-sign the striker in the future, Spurs fans may not have seen the last of Kane.
Levy stated, “There is a buy-back clause,” on Tuesday at a conference for fans.
Regarding the clause’s value and effective date, Levy gave no information.
Before playing his first Champions League match for Bayern on Wednesday against Manchester United, Kane stated he will always support his old employers.
“I’m always keeping an eye on them and I’ll keep an eye on Tottenham for the rest of my life,” Kane stated.
“The way the team is performing makes me very pleased, and it’s wonderful to see the supporters happy as well. As they prepare for a crucial match against Arsenal on Sunday, I’ll definitely keep an eye on them throughout the season.”
When Kane made the comparison between life at the two clubs earlier this month, saying that losing games “never felt like a disaster,” Spurs fans became a little irate.
