Al-Nassr negotiating £200 million deal for world-class Manchester City Play Maker. Saudi Arabia are creating quite a stir

Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne is reportedly exploring a move to the Saudi Pro League next summer, according to GOAL. According to reports, the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF) has renewed its interest in the Belgian star.

The PIF, which is known for its involvement in high-profile football deals, has resumed its pursuit of De Bruyne, who is seen as a top target for the upcoming transfer window. De Bruyne’s contract with Manchester City is slated to end in 2025, sparking talk about a possible move in the summer of 2024, with one year remaining on his current contract.

This is not the first time De Bruyne has piqued the interest of Saudi teams; in October 2023, Al-Nassr, Cristiano Ronaldo’s club, reportedly expressed interest in the 32-year-old midfielder. Al-Qadsiah, a second-tier Saudi team, was apparently interested in acquiring his services.

Injury has limited De Bruyne’s outings for Manchester City in the 2023-2024 season. A muscular injury sustained in the season opener against Burnley necessitated surgery, putting him out for an extended period of time. However, the Belgian has lately resumed training and has been named to the team for the match against Sheffield United on December 30.
