Jack Grealish and Felipe Melo completely lost it at full-time and TNT Sports cameras only caught the end of the exchange. It got ugly and full footage has emerged 🤬

Jack Grealish has spoken out about reports that he yelled ‘Ole’ at Fluminense players following Manchester City’s Club World Cup victory.

Manchester City added the Club World Cup to their trophy cabinet when Julian Alvarez and Phil Foden helped Pep Guardiola’s men beat Copa Libertadores champions Fluminense 4-0 in the final.

However, the game finished on a bad note when Felipe Melo and Kyle Walker got into a furious argument.

Melo approached Walker at full speed, igniting a feud in which numerous players rushed into the fray in an attempt to tear the pair apart.

According to Melo’s post-match comments, the Fluminense player was originally aiming for Grealish, with Walker coming in his way.

“I’ve already seen on social media idiots saying that I started a mess, just as the idiots said that I started the mess with the goal that Gremio scored,” Melo remarked after the game.

“During the game against Gremio, I went gently to ask the athlete who was celebrating with their fans. And they ended up making a shambles. And I didn’t want a shambles. Grealish was disrespectful to the Fluminense institution today, and I will not allow it to happen again.

“At the end of the game, he was shouting ole.” This is for the fans, who can yell ole. The sportsman on the pitch must not show disrespect to the institution.

“So, for the idiots who call themselves journalists and have already claimed that I caused confusion, I went to defend Martinelli, who was being cornered by this athlete.” And I’d do it again. “I am a fighter.”

Grealish, on the other hand, has taken to social media to counter accusations that he was chanting ‘Ole’ during full-time to mock the Fluminense players.

Grealish wrote on X, formerly Twitter, “Not once did I say ‘ole’.”

Manchester City will play Everton in the Premier League on December 27 before hosting Sheffield United on December 30.
