At Stamford Bridge, a huge Badiashile blunder hands Newcastle the lead.

Newcastle’s Callum Wilson couldn’t pass up the opportunity offered by Benoit Badiashile’s spectacular howler, which gave the visitors a 1-0 lead in their Carabao Cup quarter-final.

Wilson had received the ball in his own half as a result of an errant Chelsea pass, and he made a beeline for Thiago Silva in Chelsea’s back line.

Despite getting past the Brazilian, Badiashile was the covering defender and only had to clear the ball or pass back to his keeper.

He did neither and caused a complete shambles, allowing Wilson to sneak in and fire home.
