Douglas Luiz, a midfielder for Aston Villa, has made it clear that he is happy there, even though Manchester City is reportedly interested.
Luiz left City in 2019 because he couldn’t get a work permit that would have let him play for Pep Guardiola’s first team.
Pep didn’t want to lose the Brazilian star, but he had no choice. The player was sold to Aston Villa for about £15 million, which was a good deal.
Luiz has now played 173 times for Villa, and he is likely playing the best football of his career right now.
In a new interview with Sky Sports, he even says so himself. He also talks about how happy he is at the club.
It might be hard for Manchester City to get Douglas Luiz back from Aston Villa.
At the end of last month, 90min said that City wanted to sign Luiz again.
There were a lot of claims that Villa did not want to consider any offers, and Luiz was said to want to help Villa win something, possibly the Europa Conference League.

Any deal for Luiz would be hard for City.
