Manchester City Manager Pep Guardiola broke down in tears as another Key City player goes off injured during Match Vs Totheham this last night, a very sad moment for Man City Fans as the injury seems to be a career ending injury
Manchester City may be missing Jeremy Doku for Wednesday’s game against Aston Villa after the winger appeared to sustain an injury against Tottenham.
On Sunday evening, Doku began ahead of Jack Grealish and had much of success against Tottenham’s dangerous tactics. However, his influence decreased after halftime, and he was replaced on 52 minutes.
The 21-year-old limped off the pitch and cut a forlorn figure as he was replaced by Grealish. City go to Villa Park on Wednesday for the second of three games in a week over the busy holiday season.
Roy Keane said before the game that Doku was undroppable, saying, “Pep doesn’t mess around, and he isn’t happy with what Jack is producing.” [Doku is] a different type of player who is in good shape.”
Doku might join Rodri and Grealish on the bench for Wednesday’s encounter after both received a fifth yellow card against Tottenham. On the hour mark, Grealish was found to have booted the ball away, stopping a free-kick after Rodri was booked for hauling down Pedro Porro on the counter-attack.
Jamie Carragher, who was on commentary at the Etihad, expressed anxiety that City will be without the suspended two for a difficult encounter. “You know how tough of a game Aston Villa is even with a full team, now Rodri and Jack Grealish are out,” he was quoted as saying.
