Former Chelsea FLOP Manager Graham Potter has Rejected an Offer to Manage one of the biggest teams in the World

Potter, who was hired to replace Thomas Tuchel at Stamford Bridge in September 2022, was fired seven months into his five-year deal after winning only seven of his 22 Premier League games.

The 48-year-old has yet to return to management, but he was considered for the Sweden post after incumbent coach Janne Andersson resigned this week after failing to achieve qualification for the European Championship next summer.

Last month, Swedish FA Secretary General Andrea Mollerberg said that Potter was one of the candidates being considered.

However, according to the Swedish tabloid Aftonbladet, he has declined the opportunity to be considered for the post.

Potter reportedly stated that he would love to return to club football.

Potter gained to fame as the manager of Ostersunds from 2011 to 2018. He was hired in by Brighton to replace Chris Hughton after a year at Swansea City.

The former Blues manager has also been connected with Manchester United in the run-up to Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s impending minority takeover, in which he and his staff are likely to take control of all sports issues.

Potter is reported to be a fan of Ratcliffe and Sir David Brailsford, who wanted him at Nice.

Potter has been mentioned as a prospective alternative for Erik ten Hag if the incoming administration seeks to make changes at Old Trafford.

Ten Hag’s job at Old Trafford has been under pressure this season after the club lost nine of their first nine games in all competitions.

Wins over Fulham and Luton relieved some of the pressure on the Dutchman heading into the international break, despite United claiming in early November that they are not looking for a replacement for the manager.
