Premier League superstar who has more goals than Phil Foden this Season is out for NINE months after getting injured on international duty
Following a fresh injury, Michail Antonio of West Ham might be sidelined for up to nine months. Antonio sustained a knee injury while serving for his country.
Antonio reportedly sustained an injury during Jamaica’s match against Canada in the CONCACAF Nations League.
After the injury, he allegedly continued to play for ten minutes, and West Ham was apparently “furious” that he did.
Antonio has already made 14 appearances for the Hammers so far this season, playing 884 minutes and contributing two goals and two assists.
His two goals came in pivotal opening-round matches against Chelsea and Brighton, which helped his team win the season.
With 17 points from their first 12 games, West Ham has won five, drawn two, and lost five, placing them in ninth place in the Premier League.
If Antonio gets hurt, players like Danny Ings and Divin Mubama might get more chances up top, but Jarrod Bowen has also recently been utilised as a centre forward.
