Cole Palmer really walked into Man City’s huddle and was pushed away by Erling Haaland
In an instant Premier League classic, Chelsea’s Cole Palmer struck an injury-time penalty to earn a point against previous team Manchester City.
The visitors took the lead after referee Anthony Taylor controversially awarded a penalty to Erling Haaland. Thiago Silva’s header at a corner equalised Chelsea practically immediately. They took the lead when Sterling knocked in Reece James’ back post cross.
However, the hosts were quickly pegged back as Manuel Akanji equalised in first-half stoppage time with a header of his own. After the break, Haaland scored his second goal by sliding in to convert Julian Alvarez’s cross, but Chelsea responded by burying Nicolas Jackson, who had been in excellent form.
