Todd Boehly is Set to Sign two FORMER Chelsea FLOP players who have scored more goals than Erling Haaland this Season

Chelsea is actively monitoring the progress of two former defenders, Marc Guehi and Fikayo Tomori, with the possibility of re-signing them, according to a report from Tuttomercatoweb. The Premier League club is one of several closely observing Guehi and Tomori as they seek to bolster their defensive options.

In 2021, Chelsea parted ways with Guehi, who joined Crystal Palace, and Tomori, who moved to AC Milan. Since then, both players have established themselves as crucial components of their respective clubs’ lineups.

At the current juncture, Chelsea’s demand for Marc Guehi or Fikayo Tomori seems relatively limited. With the return of Benoit Badiashile, manager Mauricio Pochettino now has four central defenders at his disposal, including Badiashile, Thiago Silva, Axel Disasi, and Levi Colwill. Badiashile and Disasi are even being considered as Chelsea’s potential center-back pairing, as they have shown promise when playing together.

The idea of Guehi or Tomori willingly returning to Stamford Bridge to compete for a spot in the team seems improbable, as both players left Chelsea to secure regular starting positions.

While Thiago Silva’s contract is set to expire at the end of the season, potentially creating a vacancy in Pochettino’s squad, Guehi and Tomori would still have to vie for playing time alongside competitors like Badiashile and Disasi. Given their established roles as regular starters, especially in the case of Tomori at AC Milan, it’s unlikely that they would readily embrace the prospect of battling for limited playing opportunities at Chelsea.

Nonetheless, if Chelsea is resolute about acquiring a new center-back in the future, they may contemplate pursuing one of the English defenders, either Guehi or Tomori.
