VERY SAD Gabriel Jesus news has been announced this evening after Sevilla Vs Arsenal Victory
Mikel Arteta confirmed that Gabriel Jesus was injured in the Champions League win against Sevilla.
The striker was withdrawn in the 10th minute and Arteta admitted that it was Jesus who asked to play.
Arteta told TNT Sports:
“He felt something in his hamstring. Let’s see. He immediately asked to be replaced, which is not good news because Gabi is absolutely not a player to do that so we will have to wait and see in the coming days.
It was a disappointing end to a fine evening for Jesus, who impressively set up Gabriel Martinelli’s opening goal before finishing just as impressively, impressively not poor for Arsenal’s second goal in a 2-1 win.
Arsenal pushed their luck for periods of the match, but it was Jesus’ two moments of magic that secured Arsenal’s second win of the group stage.
A lovely touch and perfectly weighted pass from Jesus found Martinelli in behind to calmly round Nyland before slotting the ball into the empty net.
Jesus was in a confident mood and increased his advantage with a beautiful solo move, moving down the left wing to deceive the nervous goalkeeper.
