“He shouldn’t be allowed back on the training ground next week, he completed JUST 6 passes, lost Possession x9 and had less touches than the goalkeeper”- A Manchester City Fans has warned Pep Guardiola to get rid of one of his players who will not allow him to win the Champions league

Nathan Ake, a defender for Manchester City, had another bad night: he played badly for the Netherlands against France.

It had been a rough time for the Dutchman with City before the current international break.

In particular, the defender criticised his own play in the team’s 2-1 loss to Wolves. The next week, he was involved in a bad mistake that helped Arsenal beat the treble winners 1-0.

Now, though, the 28-year-old played in another loss as France beat the Netherlands 2-1 in their most recent Euro 2024 qualifying game.

After the Netherlands’ loss, Ake was dealt another setback.

As for his own play, the City player played for 80 minutes last night before being taken off and replaced by Tottenham Hotspur back Micky van de Ven.

I think Ake lost the ball nine times during his time on the pitch, and only 45 of the 52 passes he tried went to the right person.

The Dutchman was able to show how good he can be at defence, even though his work with the ball wasn’t up to Pep Guardiola’s standards this time.

Overall, SofaScore gave the treble winner a rather average match rating of 6.6/10. Football Oranje said in their player ratings piece that this was “not his finest game” for the Netherlands.

For the City star, the last few weeks have been very upsetting. He’ll need to make sure he can get back on track and help his team win again once the international break is over.
