When Ronaldo’s Al Nassr team headed to Iran in September to play Persepolis in the group stage of the Asian Champions League, the Portuguese superstar posed for pictures while there. But one in particular has gotten him into trouble.
Ronaldo received a portrait from Iranian artist Fatima Hamimi, according to Mundo Deportivo, but the authorities have taken issue with his passionate kiss and arm-around-her pose for the picture.
According to Mundo Deportivo, numerous lawyers have complained about Ronaldo’s actions, which are deemed to be in the worst possible taste.
Although it’s hard to suppose that Ronaldo knew that before posing for the photo, it’s thought that even touching a married woman in Iranian law is akin to adultery.
