Pep Guardiola is Set to Sign Brighton FLOP as Mahrez Replacement in January Transfer Window, now agrees new £80,000-a-week contract
Kaoru Mitoma has agreed to a new contract with Brighton, following Manchester City’s interest over the summer.
According to the London World.
So, what has been said about Kaoru Mitoma and Manchester City? Let us investigate.
In July, the Algeria international left the Etihad Stadium for Al Ahli in a £30 million move.
Mitoma gained Guardiola’s attention after a standout 2022/23 season in which he scored ten goals and provided eight assists in 41 games as Brighton qualified for the UEFA Europa League.
However, the Brighton No.22 has now committed to the Seagulls.
Mitoma is believed to have secured a new five-year contract for £80,000 per week at the Amex Stadium, which is due to be confirmed by Brighton within the next 24 hours, according to London World.
In seven Premier League games this season, the 26-year-old has three goals and three assists.
Manchester City will function normally without Kaoru Mitoma.
While seeing Mitoma at the Etihad Stadium would have been lovely, Manchester City will be OK without him.
Guardiola already has Bernardo Silva, Phil Foden, Jack Grealish, and Jeremy Doku on the flanks, and Oscar Bobb has gotten into the first-team squad.

If any of these forwards depart Manchester City, a transfer for Mitoma is still possible in 2024.
According to le10sport in France, Portugal international Silva would prefer to test a fresh challenge, with PSG interested in his services.
However, after committing to Brighton for the next five years, a deal for Mitoma would suddenly cost significantly more than it would have in the summer.
