Chelsea great John Terry has applauded Mauricio Pochettino’s efforts to improve the club’s condition. The former Chelsea captain has expressed his appreciation for the former Tottenham manager.

Despite the club’s dismal showing last season, in which they finished 12th with only 11 wins, and a sluggish start this season, Terry believes the manager will turn things around for the Blues.

Chelsea has also spent a remarkable £600 million on reshuffling the squad in just two transfer windows in 2023.

“I love Poch, I’ve met him a couple of times and had the privilege to be around him at the training ground,” John Terry remarked in an interview with talkSPORT. He trains the players very hard, is tactically fantastic, and I believe that given time, he is the appropriate man for the position.

“We’ve seen over the years with his experience with him and what he’s done previously, we are a young squad, they were literally thrown together, haven’t they?” There’s a lot of skill there, and we’ve had a few injuries that haven’t gone our way, so there’s a lot of football to be played this season, but hopefully interesting game.”
