Even though Gareth Southgate didn’t put Harry Maguire in the starting lineup for the Three Lions in tonight’s bitter British match, the Manchester United player has still made sports news.
England looked like they would win easily with a 2-0 lead after goals from Phil Foden and Jude Bellingham.
But after Maguire replaced Marc Guehi at halfway, the center-back was paired with Brighton’s Lewis Dunk for the second half of the game.
And despite being one of the most experienced players on the pitch, the Red Devils’ former skipper converted an own goal and helped the Tartan Army back into the game at 2-1 to England.
