BREAKING NEWS: United set to announce signing of French striker on free transfer

Manchester United are close to finalising the signing of promising French striker Enzo Kana-Biyik from Le Havre, but a few final regulatory procedures still need to be completed before the transfer can be officially confirmed. Unlike their recent acquisition of 16-year-old Harley Emsden-James from Southampton, Kana-Biyik’s move is expected to be publicly announced by the club once everything is in place.

Although INEOS-owned FC Lausanne-Sport has been linked with a potential immediate loan deal for the young forward, sources indicate that no decision has been made regarding his short-term future. The talented teenager could remain at Carrington or be loaned out depending on what United’s development plan entails.

Kana-Biyik, who is just 18, is following a path once taken by Paul Pogba, another former Le Havre talent who made his way to Old Trafford as a teenager. While he didn’t feature for Le Havre’s first team last season, he was regularly involved in first-team training and impressed in the youth ranks with nine goals in 16 games for the Under-19 side.

At Carrington, United’s coaching staff have been making efforts to accommodate young international players by learning French—something that was already put in practice when Sekou Kone joined from Mali last year. This approach is designed to help new signings like Kana-Biyik settle into their new environment more comfortably.

Though not yet a familiar name among United fans, Kana-Biyik has a growing reputation in France and is seen as a forward with significant potential. Once the paperwork is completed, his signing will add another exciting young talent to the club’s growing youth setup.
